|Empowered Mothers, Stronger Families
As a mother of eight, Alfreda Flowers made sure that family dinners were a regular event. “We had a table for the big kids, and a table for the little kids so we could all fit,” she said. Now as founder and executive director of Family Values for Life, she is dedicated to bringing that same sense of connectedness to other families across the East Metro. “We are trying to introduce those values that are conducive to sitting down and sharing a meal together,” she said.
REGISTER TODAY and Join Family Values For Life as we kick off the spring with our First Annual Breakfast Fundraiser on April 26th, 2017, at 7:30 am at Keller Golf Course in Maplewood. Come join our crew as we cast our nets to raise funds in support of families on the east side of St. Paul.
Because of the passionate support of partners like you, FVFL was able to give away over 2,100 backpacks and serve approximately 3,000 individuals in East Saint Paul last year. This past year, more than ever, we realize the necessity of our services. FVFL is doing more than giving out backpacks and providing programs we are serving families in their most unfortunate crisis. For example, we recently helped with a funeral for a 16 year girl who was shot in the basement of a friend’s home. We also helped a family who lost their home and all of their belongings in a fire.
Please mark your calendars for April 26th and join us as we continue Casting our Nets and Saving our Community.
